What is Guiding Light?

A night of capturing a real family in an awesome setting alongside other photographers and with Haley Kinzie as your host and leader! This will be my last photography workshop/mentor session for 2024. After this, the next Guiding Light event will be in 2025!

Who is it for? Do I have to be a “photographer?”

The Guiding Light group mentorship evening is perfect for anyone who can already use a camera in manual mode, whether or not you own a business.

What will the photography workshop experience be like?

I will be your fearless leader! I’ll guide the session with my go-to prompts, and may position the family more specifically at times, explaining what I’m doing and why. From time to time, I’ll shout out my camera settings and be there to help answer any questions along the way. Everyone will have a chance to capture the magic and natural connections that unfold!

5:45 arrive at Taco Nation

5:45-6:30 first we’ll get to know each other over chips & queso (on me), discuss my approach & flow of the night

6:30-8:00 then it’s session time!

8:00-9:00 followed with q&a, snacks & hangs at Wheeler Ferris Wheel

9:00 head home with a full heart, an awesome gallery, and a new photography bestie!
