How to Prepare for Your Santa Christmas Mini Session
I want to make sure your time with Santa is as magical and stress-free as possible, so here are a few helpful tips:
- Let Santa work his magic: Our sweet Santa (and Mrs. Claus) are experts at engaging kids and creating those authentic moments that will melt your heart. We ask that parents who are not in the photos take a quieter observation role, so Santa can take the lead. As the photographer, I may offer a few gentle directions, but trust me—Santa and I have got this!
- Not sure how your kiddo will react to Santa? No worries! If your child isn’t sure about Santa, feel free to jump in the photos with them. You know your child best and whether they’ll be more comfortable with you in the shot. There’s no pressure—we all have at least one of those classic “crying on Santa’s lap” photos!
- Arrive on time: Please enter the studio no more than 5 minutes before your scheduled session. We want to make sure the magical snow is a surprise for everyone! If you arrive earlier, your kiddos might catch a glimpse of the magic before their turn. You’re welcome to hang out in the car if you need extra time to prep for the session!
